08:38 pm - Game Blog Part 2
As I said in my last entry, I would post a link here when I got the game blog up and running. The layout is completely basic right now and only one of the two posts will be new to anyone reading this livejournal.

With that said, here is the address for my new blog dedicated to gaming: Gamehard

If you don't know me super-well, please read the first post before you make hasty judgments on the title :p

12:05 am - Game Blog
I've been considering formally ditching this journal and creating a dedicated gaming blog. It's evolution baby.

This reminded me of my old blog from high school, and I felt I should finally put it to rest rather than waiting for prospective employers to find it with Google or something of the sort. It's the typical stuff you'd expect: interesting how I've changed in some ways but not in others.

I started reading through all the old entries and began to notice a pattern: almost every post mentioned whatever games I was playing. It's interesting to see that even after 6-8 years I still have the same motivations in my writing, the same passionate hobby.

I think I'll make that my summer project.

Speaking of the summer *and* gaming, I've organized a pretty awesome event for me and a few other friends in my hometown that have both a penchant for RPGs and loads of free time.

Details under cut! )

I think I'll chronicle the six weeks on said gaming blog. I'll be sure to post a link to it on this site once I've got it up and running.

After a two weeks of grinding Skyguard reputation since the patch came out, and farming all the gold I needed for epic flying mounts, I was able to buy this:

This is a shot in the dark, but do any of you have access to the Gale Database from your school? It'd probably be under online databases at your libraries website.

"I am willing to fight to defeat the enemies of America. Those enemies seek to frighten us into becoming a shallow echo of the Islamic states, without the freedoms that our forefathers fought so hard to win. When some chicken-ass appeaser tells me that we need to violate our constitutional guarantees to liberty in order to "win against terrorists," I call him what he is: a collaborator.

Americans need a wake up call. Those who aim to take away our freedoms, and to turn us into a police state where torture is OK as long as it isn't us today, these are enemies of our great nation. Those who stare in the face of "terror" and REFUSE to be terrorized, those with the balls to say "you can blow us up and kill us by the thousands and we will not give up our cherished liberties," those are the patriots. If you are willing to throw in the towel and turn over your liberties to a government willing to torture and spy on its own citizens, then you are a coward and should feel nothing but shame."

I haven't updated in a while, if anyone hadn't noticed. Didn't even notice how long it had been, I guess I got out of the habit. Amusing to look 3 posts back and see it talking about Christmas. I've been thinking about making some long ridiculous post soon detailing all the insignifigants that have happened over the past couple months, as well as an explanation for why I think I stopped posting. I'll update soon, I promise. Maybe.

The 12 pack of soda you are carrying splits open and a can bursts. Instead of being concerned about the cans, you only notice how adorable the kittens are on the paper towels you just bought when you tear one off to clean up the mess.

11:29 am - First day back
I get the distinct feeling that this semester is going to be full of boring and very easy classes after attending my first class. Going to take the risk and only buy books (book, more specifically) for the one class that I think will be difficult. So, out of the eight books I'm supposed to buy, I'm only buying one. It certainly cuts down on the cost, and I figure if I end up needing a book for an assignment there is always the library. Thankfully, this is the last semester I'll have to take any boring introductory classes.

11:37 am - Dec 25th
Saw the series finale to Roseanne which was terrible and irritating, and made me want to stop watching reruns of the show. Maybe some of you remember seeing it and know what I'm talking about. Now I know why reruns aren't often shown of series finales.

Christmas was good this year. On Wednesday I exchanged gifts with Jason which was fun, got some Serenity posters, a Dinoriders VHS tape, and a bunch of gum among others (that's right, gum. Yes I still have braces, he's a jackass). Thursday exchanged gifts with Jon and Anthony. Got a Madonna CD and a "K.U.K.L." CD from Jon, which is an old punk band Bjork was in. Got a ton of Tiki punch from anthony, which is posibbly one of the best/cheapest sodas on the planet. We also watched Drop Dead Fred and Rocky Horror Picture Show with Stefan/Adam. Saturday the extended family came over for christmas eve. Aside from the dog crapping in the middle of the floor when people were opening yankee swap gifts, the night went along as it usually does, nothing stressfull. As for my presents on Sunday, the majority of my gift from my parents was new tires for my Van, but I also got a new CD player and a coffee maker which were unexpected.

Friday I had my 3rd day of work at Papa Ginos, because being unemployed isn't always fun and I need to buy more DVDs I'll watch only once. Speaking of which, going to head to the bank/mall to see what I can get with some random gift certificates.

10:25 am - Keene woes
In an effort to prevent my pants from giving me any further difficulty in the morning, I think I'm going to start eating a little better and doing some very mild exercising each day. Yes it's true, I'm actually going to try dieting. Heading to the DC now for my last big over-indulgence meal.

Back at Keene. Had a hell of a time packing yesterday because my mother told me the day I went back was a day later than the actual date, so at 2pm yesterday Jon asked me why I hadn't moved in yet and I realized the mistake once I checked the school's calendar. In my rush to pack I forgot a couple things, most notably a fan. The room is nice, and aside from the heat I couldn't really ask for much more. A few problems getting online, but thats nothing new for Keene. Playing the add/drop classes came today and tomorow, which gives me the options of having a very cramped monday/wednesday schedule, or just a cramped monday schedule. We'll see how much luck I have getting into the classes I want (a history class on modern Asia, and a drawing class for an art credit). Looking to get rid of my Psychology class if in any way possible, I dread the thought of another semester with that professor.

02:11 pm - Next time I'll keep my head down
Today I made the unique discovery that shampoo tastes bad. Now, many of you may have assumed this having never seen shampoo listed as one of the necessary ingrediants for cherry chocolate chip cookies. None the less I thought I'd share in case anyone had previously wondered about whether shampoo tastes like sweet honey or like burnt rubber (which is the reality). Or, if anyone wanted to laugh at my misfortunes. Which is pretty much all of you.

Edit: To clarify, it wasn't an intentional experience.
